Delta C, the award-winning carbon fibre electric harp
In collaboration with Salvi Harps of Piasco (Cuneo), we produced the Delta C electric harp, winner of the 2017 Red Dot Award, one of the most prestigious accolades in international design.
The Jury commented: “The Delta harp presents an innovative symbiosis of classical craftsmanship and the latest technology – the result is a compact melodic instrument.”
The carbon fibre frame brings the harp's overall weight down to just 3.8 kg compared to the 6.5 kg of the wood version.
The reduced weight allows the performer to play it sitting or standing and to carry it with ease, even over the shoulder.
Thanks to its design and placement of the strings, it is a versatile instrument with a clean frequency spectrum, which extends the bass range and makes the high tones more vivid. As innovative as the professional for whom it is intended.
