Innovation at Carbonteam: a new dust suction system

The quality of work and the work environment are the fundamental principles behind the philosophy of Carbonteam, a dynamic company that has made innovation its strength.

After installing a second Clean Room, in November 2016, and a second autoclave, in March last year, as of today, a new suction system is in operation, implemented by the company GRT DARMA of Turin.

The new suction system has been specifically designed and produced to suck up dust created by deburring and trimming when processing components in composite materials.

Carbonteam have a stand a the 2017 edition of Affidabilità e Tecnologia

From 3 to 5 May, Carbonteam will have a stand (L46) at the 2017 edition of Affidabilità e Tecnologie (A&T), the International Trade Fair for the Manufacturing Industry.

This specialist event is an important benchmark in Italy for manufacturing industries in the automotive, aerospace, railway and naval-yacht sectors.

A second autoclave for Carbonteam

Carbonteam, a company specialised in products made of carbon and composite materials, has been working in the industrial, racing, automotive, medical, robotics and design sectors since 2007.

With a view to achieving greater flexibility and with a significant increase in production, Carbonteam’s second autoclave is in operation as of today. It will work alongside the one installed in its production lines in 2011.

The new machine, 1.1 metres in diameter and 2.5 metres in length, reaches a pressure of 9 bar and a maximum temperature of 200°C.

Second Clean Room for Carbonteam

Specialized in processing carbon, Carbonteam has just inaugurated a new Clean Room. For the company, operating in the industrial, racing, automotive, medical, robotic and design sectors, it is the second clean room in less than two years, less than a year from the purchase of the new cutting plotter. Studied and designed by specialized technicians, the clean room is an environment where high working standards are guaranteed and optimal conditions of temperature, humidity and dust concentration in the atmosphere are reached and maintained, all conditions required for high quality processing.

Osella Engineering and Carbonteam

Carbonteam involvement in the motorsport sector continues thanks to its new prestigious partnership with Osella Engineering, a leading Turin-based racing car manufacturer established in 1965 by Vincenzo “Enzo” Osella. From the first uphill races to Formula One races, the history of Osella Engineering has left its mark, with passion and professionalism, on the Italian car industry. Today, at its innovative headquarters just outside Turin, the company is involved in manufacturing new cars that compete on the track and in hillclimb races worldwide every year. The Pa 21 JrB E 2B model with motorcycling propellers from 1000 to 1600 cc and the Pa21 Evo CN2 powered by a 2-litre Honda engine, for years a top class car in both the track and the uphill version, are just some of the models made in collaboration with Carbonteam, which oversaw the construction of the biplane rear wing, monoplane wing, front nose and front underbody in carbon fibre.
