Carbonteam and the Racing Team of the Politecnico di Torino: the adventure continues!

Once again in 2019, Carbonteam is collaborating withthe Racing Team of thePolitecnico di Torino (Turin Polytechnic) to make the new SC19 car.

The previous version, the four-wheel SC18,designed by 23 students, is a single-seater racing car, with a carbon-fibre monocoque made in collaboration with Carbonteam. Its four-wheel drive is achieved with electric motors integrated in the wheels, a peak power of 80 kW, planetary drives, a traction and telemetry control system, aerodynamics with profiles for high downforce.

The student team of the Politecnico di Torino made its debut on the track in July 2018, reaching third place in the Formula SAE 2018at the Riccardo Paletti race track in Varano de’ Melegari, in the province of Parma.

It is a new opportunity for our company that has always been at the forefront of technological innovation.

CARBONTEAM AND FIBERNET: teamed up for a cutting-edge project.

A young, dynamic company such as Carbonteam could not miss the opportunity offered by Fibernet to co-work on an innovative and unique project.

Un1co is the name we have chosen and which best represents the new workstation, made entirely of carbon fibre by the company specialised in manufacturing connectors assembled onto optical fibre cables.

Un1co is a modular transport system that transforms into a workstation, allowing installers to carry all their equipment and tools required for working onsite. It is particularly light and easy to transport thanks to the material used: carbon fibre.

 Last September, Carbonteam collaborated with Fibernet,working with the company on both the design project and as a partner in creating the design.

Carbonteam and the Racing Team of the Politecnico di Torino (Turin Polytechnic) together for the new SC18 car.

The students’ team of the Politecnico di Torino has presented the new four-wheel drive SC18car, which made its debut on the racing track on July 11-15 at the Riccardo Paletti circuit of Varano de’ Melegari, province of Parma, with a third place in the Formula SAE 2018.

The new car, which replaces the previous SC17, features a carbon fibre monocoque, result of the important collaboration with Carbonteam.
Our company, always committed to new projects and collaborations, was a fundamental partner in this innovative project brought to completion by the Racing Team of the Politecnico di Torino.

Carbonteam: New 5-Axis Milling Cutter

The large focus on the best technologies present on the market makes Carbonteam a dynamic company, capable of satisfying its customers in all carbon processing phases, thanks to a constantly growing and developing machinery park.

Following the installation of a second clean room and second autoclave in 2016, and a new aspiration system in 2017, in May of this year, a 5-axis milling cutter was purchased and installed. Thanks to its unique configuration, the new 5-axis CNC milling centre allows for exceptional performance in the trimming of composite material and in the creation of resin models and moulds.
